Goutweed (Aegopodium podararia L.) – prospects of the combined use with antihyperglycemic, diuretic, and normouricemic drugs

Abstract

The increase of interest in traditional herbal medicines causes a growing demand for the verification of their phytopharmacological properties. Moreover, in most cases the combined use of the herbal preparations and commonly used drugs is supposed. The data described in the thesis substantiate the expediency of the development of drugs or dietary supplements on the basis of goutweed (Aegopodium podagraria L.) raw material as well as their combinations with metformin, hydrochlorothiazide, allopurinol.
