dc.description.abstractNeuropeptide Y (NPY) has a crucial role in the regulation of various essential physiological functions. NPY regulates food intake, memory processing and emotional behavior etc [1]. It is сonsidered that the C-terminal region of the NPY is responsible for binding to the receptor. An original nonapeptide, which is an analogue of the functionally active site of the NPY, was synthesized for us by Shanghai Apeptide Co., Ltd. (China). Therefore, it could have at least partially the properties of NPY. Intranasal rout of administration makes possible high cerebral bioavailability. Aim of our investigation was to evaluate the psychotropic properties of new nonapeptide. Our results indicate the presence of a nontrivial combination of psychotropic properties. New nonapeptide has experimentally proven anxiolytic, antidepressant, nootropic and antifatigue properties, which makes it promising for further in-depth pharmacological studyuk_UA
