Database Management Systems in Pharmacy : methodological Recommendations for in-class work

Abstract

The methodological recommendations provide guidance on the development of a pharmaceutical database with the help of freely distributed DBMS LibreOffice Base. The guidelines conform to the curriculum “Information Technology in Pharmacy” for students of the second (master’s) level of higher education. Practical tasks and tests are designed to provide the necessary professional competencies of a general pharmacist in the use of information technology to work with databases. The methodological recommendations are intended for in-class work of higher education applicants of the educational program “226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy” in practical lessons on the subject “Information Technology in Pharmacy”, however they can also be used as additional sources in the study of relevant topics in the disciplines “Medical Informatics”, “Information Technology in Veterinary Medicine” and “Computer Technology and Information Technology in Physical Therapy”
