Abstract

The qualification work is devoted to the study of the role of the pharmacist in the dispensing of OTC drugs as a preventive treatment for recurrent urinary tract infections. The result of the questionnaire showed that the symptoms of recurrent urinary tract infections are either ignored or often self-treated, regardless of the severity of the symptoms. Pharmacists, in turn, are not sufficiently aware of this disease, underestimate the consequences and irrationally prescribe symptomatic treatment.
