Study of the pharmacist’s role in the Lebanese pharmacovigilance system

Abstract

The qualification work investigates the role of pharmacists in the Lebanese pharmacovigilance system. The study analyzes the global and national frameworks of pharmacovigilance, the regulatory development of the Lebanese system, and the organizational structure supporting ADR monitoring. A sociological survey among Lebanese pharmacists was conducted to assess their awareness, attitudes, and practical involvement in adverse drug reaction reporting, as well as the barriers limiting their engagement. Based on the findings, evidence-based recommendations for strengthening pharmacists’ participation in pharmacovigilance were developed. The qualification work is presented on 43 pages of text; it contains 4 tables and 15 figures. The list of references includes 39 information sources.

У кваліфікаційній роботі досліджено роль фармацевтів у системі фармаконагляду Лівану. Проаналізовано міжнародні та національні підходи до організації фармаконагляду, нормативний розвиток системи Лівану та її організаційну структуру. Проведено соціологічне опитування фармацевтів Лівану з метою оцінки їхнього рівня обізнаності, ставлення та практичної участі у повідомленні про побічні реакції, а також визначення бар’єрів, що обмежують їхню активність. На основі результатів сформовано обґрунтовані рекомендації щодо посилення участі фармацевтів у системі фармаконагляду. Кваліфікаційна робота викладена на 43 сторінках тексту, містить 4 таблиць і 15 рисунків. Список використаних джерел налічує 39 інформаційних джерел.
