Abstract:	A suitable approach to the synthesis of 3,7-disubstituted [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrazin- 8(7H)-ones starting from esters of oxalic acid monoamides via cyclization of intermediate 3-hydrazinopyrazin-2-ones has been suggested.
