Abstract: Due to the literature data analysis there was shown that phytoplasic hydrates are the perspective sources for study and development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, and can be used as new medicines or biologically active additives in future. Therefore, the polysaccharide complex we have obtained from the daisies of the genus Ken's Flame root canals is being very perspective for the further study and selection of new pharmaceutical ingredients and substances. Methods. The polysaccharide complex is derived from the dahlia’s tubers of genus Ken's Flame. There was used method of paper chromatography to identify the monosaccharides of the polysaccharide complex. There was carried out quantitative determination of fructose in the complex with α-naphthol by adsorption spectrophotometry. Results. There have been identified fructose and glucose by standard paper chromatography after acidic hydrolysis of the polysaccharide complex in our selected standard conditions. For the quantitative determination of fructose, the Dyshe reaction is being used: with α-naphthol in acidic medium. The influence of boric acid and urea supplements on the magnitudes of optical absorption of fructose and glucose in the above reaction was investigated. The kinetics of hydrolysis of the polysaccharide complex has been studied, conditions for fructose reaction with α-naphthol in acidic medium have been selected. Conclusions. The standard conditions for the hydrolysis of the inulin complex have been determined, followed by the identification of monosaccharides: fructose and glucose by the method of paper chromatography. The method of determination of fructose with α-naphthol in acidic medium for a polysaccharide complex obtained from dahlia’s tubers of the genus «Ken's Flame» is developed. The paper presents some experimental studies on the identification of the polysaccharide complex (PC) by chromatography, studied the conditions for the reaction of fructose with α-naphthol in acidic medium, the conditions for PC hydrolysis and the standardization of PC.
