| Abstract: | A study is presented of the level of liberation of sodium benzylpemciliin, methi-clllin and sodium oxacillin from 31 samples of hydrophobic ointment bases as well as on the effect of the nature of adjuvant substances and conditions of storage on this process. A comparative study of penicillin ointments showed a high stability of oxacillin ointment as compared with benzylpenicillin and methicillin ointments. Bases containing alcohols of wool wax are considered as most rational ointment bases for preparation of oxacillin ointment |
