The role of the pharmacist in the prevention of Iatrogenic disease in the elderly with comorbidity

Abstract

The qualification work examines the pharmacist's role in the risk management of iatrogenic diseases (iatrogenic injuries). Given the multi-vector problem, this study aimed to determine how Moroccan pharmacists can actively contribute to the fight against polypharmacy and, accordingly, reduce the risks of developing iatrogenic diseases, and in some cases, prevent them. The study results provide perspective on managing the risks of iatrogenic and polypharmacy, reducing medical costs of treatment, and addressing the issue of improving the safety of the treatment process for healthcare providers and patients.

У кваліфікаційній роботі розглядається роль фармацевта в управлінні ризиком розвитку ятрогенних захворювань (ятрогенних травм). Враховуючи багатовекторність проблеми, дане дослідження було спрямоване на те, щоб визначити, як марокканські фармацевти можуть активно сприяти боротьбі з поліпрагмазією та, відповідно, знизити ризики розвитку ятрогенних захворювань, а в деяких випадках і запобігти їм. Результати дослідження відкривають перспективи управління ризиками ятрогенії та поліпрагмазії, зниження медичних витрат на лікування, розв'язання питань підвищення безпеки лікувального процесу для медичних працівників та пацієнтів.
