Abstract: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental disorder that arises as a result of severe stress or traumatic events and is accompanied by anxiety, depression, and insomnia. One of the main treatment approaches is the use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which normalize serotonergic transmission and reduce manifestations of anxiety and depression. The effectiveness of these agents directly depends on the features of their chemical structure; therefore, the identification of key pharmacophoric fragments is an essential component in understanding their selectivity, activity, and pharmacokinetic properties.
