Development of the composition and technology of а cream-gel with keratolytic activity

Abstract

Theoretical studies have confirmed the feasibility and relevance of developing an extemporaneous cream-gel with keratolytic activity intended for topical dermatological application. For the purposes of the present research, a semi-solid cream-gel system possessing keratolytic, moisturizing, softening, and skin- conditioning properties was selected. During the practical stage of the study, the composition and technology of the cream-gel with keratolytic activity were developed. The selection of active pharmaceutical ingredients with keratolytic properties, gelling agents, emulsifiers, humectants, and other auxiliary substances was scientifically substantiated, and the expected pharmaco-technological, physicochemical, and organoleptic characteristics of the developed preparation were determined.
