Abstract: Literature data about classification, distribution, biosynthesis and uses of antocyanins and plant containing anthocyanins was systematized. The literature review of medicinal plants containing anthocyanins was studied. Qualitative and quantitative determination of anthocyans in black currant husks was carried out. The presence of 5 anthocyans, such as malvidin–3-О glucoside, malvidin-3,5-diglucoside, pelargonidin-3-О-glucoside, cyanidin-3-О glucoside, cyanidin-3,5-diglucoside were determined in black currant husks extract. It was determined that content of of anthocyans in in black currant husksare was 1,76%.
